A Post-Blizzard Post

After the blizzard, brutal cold made its way to the Midwest, but at least we saw some sunshine! The city is of course covered in snow, but it was nice to see that sun after what seems like so long. Here are some photos of my walk from work to the grocery store.

Michigan and Ohio.

Looking down Mag Mile.

There's still gross crosswalks everywhere.

NBC Tower.

Almost to the grocery store.

Looking down onto North St. Clark Street.

That's what the blizzard winds did!

Later that night and on our way back from dinner, Pierre and I stopped by Pioneer Court at the Chicago Tribune to play in the snow and enjoy the beautiful night.

It's almost like you're in a mountain range!

Pierre, conquerer of snow.

Watching them clean up the snow.

There's a sidewalk along the river on Wacker Drive that does not get shoveled because not many use it. We decided to be adventurous and walk about three blocks worth of a foot and a half of snow. It was fun and felt like a work out, but it got a little scary once our path got closer and closer to the railing, so we held on tight!

On our city hike.

Looking behind us.

The sunny break was appreciated, even if it felt like sub-zero temperatures, but with no surprise, I woke up to more snow today!
