Located in Lincoln Park, Oz Park was built in 1976 as an ode to Chicago-native Frank Baum, the writer of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. The park is surrounded by statues of Dorothy and her little dog Toto, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. You can also visit "Dorothy's Playlot", a playground for little ones and "Emerald Garden", a flower garden you can relax in. The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite movies, so once I learned there was a park in honor of the book, I had to visit!
