Ribs & Blues

Summer is all about outdoor festivals, so our first one this season was Ribfest in Lincoln Park. Pierre and I have been trying to find a delicious ribs place and thought this would be an excellent way to research yummy food. I hope you have an appetite for this post... Enjoy!

(R)ibfest!
The crowded street didn't seem to end.

Live music towards the end of the street.

Our 'regular' place for ribs and pulled pork, Robinson's in Lincoln Park.

The very long line for bacon wrapped wings.

Decided to give their ribs a try!

Almost there...

Almost tempted to split a whole slab with Pierre.

Ready for ribs!

Before...

After! The meat just fell right off. Ribs perfected!

Pierre had to have another serving of those ribs, but I decided to give their pulled pork a try and I couldn't have made a better decision. Delicious!

Part two!

Just as yummy!

Now we were pleasantly full, but you know me, I always have room for dessert! We all know almost everything deep fried just tastes better, but, Oreos? Eh, we decided to give it a try and delicious continues to be the key word for our day so far!

Deep fried Oreos!

We decided to keep the festivities going, so after enjoying good food, it was time to enjoy good music! We made our way to the Blues Festival in Grant Park and took a stroll and listened to a couple songs before we succumbed to a food coma.

The Blues Festival at Grant Park.

Everybody dancing!

There were seats in front of the stage and a huge screen for every one in the park.

A bit rainy, but everyone still had a good time!

Thank you and good night!
